Do I have to have insurance?

All renters must provide their own full coverage insurance that covers our vehicle when it is driven by the renter.  The customer may not purchase any coverages from us and must have proof of coverages with them at time of rental. We will verify coverage with your insurance company to make sure they are adequate and transferrable to our vehicles.

You must carry proof of liability insurance at all times. Napa Valley Grand Touring  reserves the right to cancel reservations or rentals to any customer we deem uninsured, underinsured or otherwise unable to operate the car in a safe and legal manner, in such a situation the customer will not be charged.

When renting from us, each client will receive a complete quote, including all charges, prior to their rental. Your rental price will include all state and government taxes as well as any additional mandated surcharges. If you have any questions about any charges presented to you, please feel free to contact us.

How much is the security deposit?

A deposit charge, equal to four times the daily vehicle rate, will be placed on the credit card used to book the rental. This deposit charge will be refunded once the vehicle is returned in the same condition that it was rented in. In the event that the vehicle comes back damaged, the deposit will be applied to the necessary repairs.

How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle?

You must be 21 years of age or older.

Do I have to have a drivers license?

Accepted Answer

Yes, All vehicles require drivers to follow all state and federal laws including have a valid drivers license.

• Car Rentals require a minimum of a Class C license to operate.
 • Motorcycle Rentals require a Motorcycle License to operate.

Do you require an international drivers license?

An international drivers license, along with your country's driver's license, is required to rent one of our vehicles by a visitor from a foreign country.

Is there a charge for additional drivers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, There will be a $100 fee per additional driver.

• Minimum Age for Additional Drivers: 21

Are there any speed restrictions or governors on the cars?

Accepted Answer

You are required to follow all state and federal laws and we encourage you to drive responsibly. Other than state and Federal laws, there are no speed restrictions or governors on any of our cars.

Question 9

Do your cars have GPS?

Accepted Answer

All our vehicles are tracked  by GPS system. Removal and/or tampering in any way with any vehicles GPS shall result in a minimum fine of $1,000 plus damages.

Are there any additional or hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees. You may incur additional charges if you choose certain options or upgrades.

Can I take the car to another state?

Vehicles are never permitted outside of California unless specifically approved during booking

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

We reserve the right to cancel reservation / rental to any customer we deem uninsured, underinsured or otherwise unable to operate the car in a safe and legal manner, in such a situation the customer will not be charged a cancellation fee.

A fee equal to the vehicle's one day rental price will be charged for no shows or cancellations day of. 
This is non-refundable and due at the time of booking.

Question 13

Do you provide motorcycle riding gear?

We have a selection of Bell MX-9 Adventure helmets available for rent. We do not offer any other type of motorcycle riding gear.

Question 14

Does the Motorcycle Have a Luggage System?

Accepted Answer

A "Lone Rider" full luggage system is available as an option during the BMW R1250 GS Adventure rental. Please give us a call for additional details and to help plan your trip.
